Hint, hint . . . wink, wink!
Ben and Melissa stopped by on their way up to Boston. It was so fun to have them, we only wish it could have been longer. We took them downtown to show them around all the historical sites. The only problem was that that was our first time downtown to see the sites so we definitely looked like tourists! We visited the US Mint, saw Betsy Ross' house, the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall (note to self, get there earlier so you can get tickets to go inside it next time), we drove through Valley Forge, and all tried our first Philly Cheese steak Sandwich (except Brooks, it wasn't his first)! It was pretty cool, but I realize the more I live out here how little I remember from my high school American History class.
It was a lot of fun just to have them here and now we are better prepared to show our visitors around! ;)
