Once there was a Snowman!

We took advantage of the warm day (34 degrees) on Saturday to play in the new snow. We made a snowman, snow angels and found a great sledding hill!
We made a snowman and used raisins for the eyes and mouth. Spencer was eating them faster than I could get them to stay in the snow.
and then he went for the nose!Don't worry, he put it back!

and the snowman got a big hug before he finished off the rest of the raisins!

Say Cheese!

This is Spencer's cheesy smile! Whenever we tell him "Say cheese" he puts on a face like this:
These are also some pictures of Spencer's last haircut.
And . . . the after picture.

Neigh!

Ever since we got back from Utah Spencer constantly wants to ride on our backs and play 'horse' or in his words 'neigh'. This is something I think Uncle Ben taught him. I decided to make him a horse so I don't wear out the knees of my pants so quickly! I drew a pattern and pulled some stuff out of the closet to create this:As you can see he couldn't keep his hands off it long enough for me to take a picture.
Here's a short video of Spencer riding his horse until he decides to let the horse take a ride down the slide!

Six more weeks of Winter

I'm hoping winter doesn't last another six weeks, but after groundhogs day we got another snow storm to remind us that winter is not over yet. I actually like it though, things look better with a fresh blanket of snow.
Here is what things looked like around here the first week of January
and most of January looked like this:and finally we got some of this: It seems to be ten times colder when we have clear skies and sunlight,
but I rather have the cold sunlight than the just a tad warmer gloominess!
