Halloween 2014

Halloween is one of those holidays we go all out for! This year was no different!

Here is our car for the ward Trunk or Treat!  So fun to make and so fun to see the kids reactions when they came around!

I really wanted a donut, but you couldn't have one without playing the game! I convinced the Young Womens presidency to do it with me!

We were so excited to have Grandpa visit for work the week of Halloween. Perfect timing too! It meant that Benson didn't have to pull the guts out of his own pumpkin! He recruited Grandpa!

Trick or Treat at Kowalski's! Two years in a row makes it a tradition right? We will miss you next year Allen's.

Fun Halloween games!

So much for costumes, you can't see much of them under the coats! It was a beautiful week until the day of Halloween and then it was freezing! Needed gloves and coats!

Dairy Farm fieldtrip

We took a field trip with Benson's Joy School group to a dairy farm. The kids loved the cows, the chickens and the yummy snacks, but they loved the cats the most! They spent more time chasing the family's cats than with the cows!

More fall fun!

Still loving the fall weather, and hoping it continues a little longer!

Sunglasses? No, the sun is not that bright. Benson had dilated eyes after a visit to the eye doctor for a checkup because he failed his vision screening at the district screenings. He must have just had an off day because everything looked fine at the eye doctor! Thank goodness!

Nauvoo Youth Trip

 We took the youth in our ward on a trip to Nauvoo over fall break! It was an amazing trip! We all had a fun time, things ran smoothly, and testimonies were strengthened! We had 51 youth and 14 leaders! 

It is a blessing for me to work with these girls, and to see them grow. 

My testimony is strengthened as I watch and work with them!

It's the little things

We built a fire in our fire pit one night and roasted marshmallows for s'mores, and played in the dark for a bit. Then we turned the lights off and laid on the lawn looking at the stars! It was a very last minute decision - on a school night, lasted less than two hours, but will forever be a memory I treasure! It's the little things that make a difference in our lives!

It was too funny! I had to see their reaction again! :)
