Happy Halloween & more October!

We had a lot of fun with Halloween this year!!

Spencer's class party!

Benson's class parade!

We carved pumpkins in Logan with the Smalley's, but then Grandpa Turnbow gave us a big one from his garden and we had to do something good with it! It was quite the task, but well worth the efforts!

We entered it in the library's Pumpkin Palooza pumpkin contest and it won Grand Prize!

The kids really loved the Pumpkin Palooza activities!

The Trick or Treating gang!

Cinderella

We also got a chance to go to a BYU football game in October. We were able to go down on the field before the game. The boys loved watching the team warm up and Lilly just stared at the cheerleaders! :)

Benson had his first season of basketball. Well, really it was a camp, but he loved it!! Here's the crew! It was an awesome bunch of coaches!

Fall, Football & Fun

FALL, FOOTBALL & FUN
We've had a lot of all of this the last few weeks.

Spencer has been playing on a flag football team. Last week before his game he declared that flag football is now his favorite sport, more than any other sport he's played!  This kid new nothing about football 6 weeks ago and now he watches BYU football like a life long fan!

Here he is a quarter back. This pass scored a touch down!

Brooks got tickets from a co-worker for the BYU football game on his birthday! Best birthday present ever!! Good thing too because it was a super busy weekend and he left on a work trip the next day so we didn't really celebrate! The BYU game made up for the lack of everything else!

Being close to Grandma and Grandpa Riska has been especially special as Brooks and all the other guys get together to watch the BYU football games! You won't find more solid BYU fans than those two. Grandma knows more about all the players than Brooks does and they love having the gang over!

Football with Grandpa! Can't wait for Thanksgiving!

With the kids off track we enjoyed the beautiful weather as we explored some new places! A big hit was the skate park here in town. Once Spencer warmed up and watched the older boys do their thing they really had a good time!

The past three months Brooks has been traveling a lot for work. About every other week he was off to a new place. Although we miss him here at home it's fun for him to explore new places! Recent visit have included Omaha, Kansas City & New Orleans!

Omaha (his old running route!)

French Quarters (New Orleans)

Liberty Jail

I got to join Benson on his class field trip the other day to a local pumpkin patch! It was middle of October but it was a hot sunny day!

Our fall break was spent in Logan visiting the Smalley's and seeing their new place.  So much to do out in nature. We felt right at home, and once again it was a beautiful fall day! We enjoyed the canyon, some Aggie ice cream, Logan temple, awesome cheese and a fun corn maze! We loved spending time with them and can't wait to visit again!

What is fall without a batch of sugar cookies?? Love my two helpers!

Jump into fall

September started with a bang as we celebrated Labor Day! Melissa's kids spent the weekend with us and we got the whole family together on Labor Day!

When we took the kids to see the Healing Field for 9-11 I realized how little the know and understand about the events, but what an impact it has on our lives and what a vivid memory it is for Brooks and me. They were in awe when I showed them some of the videos of the day.

The kid's school did a fun run for their fundraiser and the kids had a blast running laps! We didn't think they would last very long, but both boys kept running the full 15 minutes and Lilly even joined in for a couple laps! Lets just say they all slept very well that night! :)

We've had such a beautiful fall this year, we couldn't pass up the chance to get out and enjoy the pretty colors at the farm!

Need a hand with the little ones? Benson is your guy! He is the sweetest thing when someone smaller needs help.

Brooks and I celebrated 9 years of marriage this month! We had an awesome date to Salt Lake thanks to Rebecca for watching the kids. Two song phrases come to mind when I think of the all adventures we've had: "I thought I loved you then", and "It just gets better all the time"

The boys were off track for a couple weeks in September so we spent the time soaking in the gorgeous weather! Highland Glen Park - talk about a hidden treasure!

And we got some really exciting news at my 16 week ultrasound this month.  Everyone was super excited to find out we will be getting another little girl to our family!!
