Introducing. . .

It's a little late coming, (ok, very late) but I figured I might as well post some pictures.
We will have much better pictures in just under 5 weeks, so be sure to check back then because those pictures will be a whole lot cuter!

This little angel GIRL will be joining our family in just over a month. Somewhere around the 1st of December. We are so excited to meet her.
A little overwhelmed, at times, at the thought of having three, but still very excited!

Everyone shared their opinion on what gender they thought she would be. It was pretty split, but Spencer was absolutely certain it was going to be a girl. He said girl from the moment we told him we were going to have another baby and he never changed his mind. He said we already have a lot of boys, so it just had to be a girl!

Happy Birthday!

Have I mentioned before that we like to have birthdays last for like a week???

Well we had Brooks' birthday this month and that's pretty much what we did. We had his birthday cake early because we left town the day after his birthday and he wanted to be sure he could enjoy the entire cake without having to eat it all in one night! :)  Then we sang again and opened presents on his birthday and then we went to Flagstaff for the weekend where we had another cake plus Kevin, Kay and Ryan to wish him happy birthday!!  Oh what fun!!

Preschool

Not only soccer, but Spencer is back in preschool this fall as well. He is having a great time with it.

After every 'rotation' we take a field trip. The first section was "All About Me", so we just had a swimming party and they each brought their favorite snack to share for the picnic.

Then they learned all about their bodies and taking care of their bodies. The field trip was to a bounce gym to get some 'exercise'!

Here is his body picture after we were all done. They look kind of funny, but the kids loved those things. (can't you tell by the smile on his face!)

Go Minions!!

Spencer has been playing soccer this fall. It's been a lot of fun and quite the journey.
The season started off with a lot of this:
Observing.
It seemed like all he wanted to do was people watch and look at everything and anything around. Players, coaches, parents, airplanes, the grass. . . When the ball came to him then he would kick it.

He is doing much better now. He chases after the ball and even gets in the middle of the 'herd' to try and get to the ball. This week he scored his first goal during a game. He was ecstatic!!

Brooks has even been in on the fun at times too. He didn't sign up to help because his school schedule is not very unpredictable week to week, but he's had his share of taking on role as coach when they've needed someone to fill in. He does an awesome job. It drives him crazy to watch 4 & 5 year olds play, but he loves teaching them.

Spencer's team is the Maroon Minions. We needed a team banner so I took my first attempt at using freezer paper to paint their banner. I was very pleased with the results. Here is the banner after my paint job, but the kids each drew the faces on their own 'minion', decorated it's ball and wrote their name by it. We took pictures last week with the completed banner, but I didn't get any so I'll have to get a picture  next week.
Here is Spencer's finished minion!!
