Little of this, and a little of that

Summer is in full swing around here! Even though we are still in school for another week, the summer fun has already begun! Here is a little of this and a little of that! :)

Parents (and siblings) and Pasteries Day at school!
Benson cannot wait for this to be his school too! He is so excited for Kindergarten next year!

Summer reading program has begun and the kids are excited to get their reading done and fill up their chart from the library! Although, this is not an uncommon sight in our home!

Parade Season!

Lilly loved the "princesses"!

Ward Camp out
We survived the ward camp out! Brooks ran his half marathon the Saturday of the ward camp out, but the kids and I went up anyway. They had so much fun exploring and playing with all the other kids in the ward.  Everyone thought I was crazy, but the kids slept great and everyone had a fun time. I'm glad we found the tick on Spencer's neck while still at the camp out. Brother Gardner just flicked it right out with his knife. We would have got it out, but after a bit more drama, had we not found it till we were home.

More fun!

Family night at the lake
For a school project Spencer planned a free family outing to the lake. He had to plan it and get everything ready. He even helped clean everything up when we got home. It was a fun night and Spencer is a great party planner!

Mmmm hmmm! This is one of my most favorite things ever! FRESH RASPBERRIES! Thanks to Aunt Carol for sharing!

We spent the night up in Tabby this past weekend! Once the sun went behind the mountain it was a gorgeous night! We had dinner and a dutch oven dessert, went for a four wheeler ride, played some KUBB, did fireworks, and spent many hours on the tire swing!  What a perfect weekend!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
To the best Dad around!  He is such a awesome man, he puts up with a lot of stuff that we throw at him, but he always has a smile on his face and an upbeat attitude! He takes such good care of us and genuinely care about each one of us!

We love you Dad!

Spencer's Birthday!

Spencer turned 7 this month and we had fun celebrating!

We surprised him at school and took him donuts at lunch.

This was a lot of work, but at least it turned out! Spencer loved his Mario Cake!

Thanks Grandma Kay!

We moved to Omaha when Spencer was 6 months old. The only birthday we celebrated with family was when we lived in Flagstaff for the summer. Spencer was excited to have cousins here to share his birthday with!

The adventure continues . . .

It seems like there is always something happening! That's how we like it - keeps life interesting! The kids are at such fun phases of life right now. We are just soaking it up!

Fishing at Grandpa's pond

Thanksgiving Point tulip festival. It was fun even if it was raining! (But when was it ever NOT raining in the month of May this year?)

Father and Sons Campout!

That's right, licorice for breakfast!

That would be a Nickel and a picture of Benson's chest!

Memorial Day Weekend in Flagstaff and Phoenix!

Never too old!
Benson was getting tired, but wasn't fast enough to walk and keep up so we sped things up.

A little geocaching with Grandpa is always a favorite!

This is how to speed things up! Patience was not our strength this weekend! :)

Family Hike up Bell Canyon.
It was a little steep in parts for Lilly but she was determined to climb it herself!

Benson got his first official lesson from Grandpa on riding a horse on his own!
