Halloween

October flew by and ended with a bunch of fun Halloween festivities. We carved pumpkins as a family, and once again Brooks and I questioned why we do this to ourselves every year. We end up just trying to keep the boys away from the sharp knives more than anything. Next year I think we'll try paint or something! :)  Benson's face is the best!! You'd think he wouldn't mind with all the bugs and things he touches!  

 We had a lot of fun at the ward trunk or treat, visiting a retirement home with the kids and some friends, and a preschool field trip to the zoo. 

Lake Powell Triathlon

Brooks, Kevin and Ryan all did the Lake Powell Triathlon this year. We spent some time in Flagstaff and then headed up to Page for the race. It was a fun weekend and the guys all did awesome (minus a stubborn old bike that gave Kevin a hard time!)  Cindy and her kids came down which made the trip even that much more fun!

Here are pictures from the race. I didn't get each of them in all the events, but I did my best while trying to keep track of the boys! :)   

 

 

Here are some pictures of the kids. They were in heaven with all the sand and seashells!! If only it had been warm enough to get in the water. It was such a beautiful day, we could have stayed there till dark if we all didn't have to travel so far to get home.

Brooks loved the pictures the race photographers took during the race and was hoping I had some shots as good as theirs. Here is my attempt at imitating the professional pictures! :)
